Hi Everyone, I’m Kristy from Clearly Legal.


I want to introduce myself and chat with you today about the expertise I offer as a certified law clerk and licensed paralegal with over 20 years of experience that has been focused on

litigation, document review, and court procedures.


Extensive Litigation and Court Experience

For two decades, I have worked extensively in court and litigation support. I have been

providing comprehensive document review, file management, and litigation coordination services that keep cases moving smoothly and efficiently. My goal is to support lawyers through the litigation process by making motions easier to navigate, affidavits of documents user-friendly, trial prep something to look forward to, and so much more; to make all the behind-the-scenes things “just happen”.


My Broad Exposure to Law

In my time as a law clerk, I have had the benefit of exposure to:

Media and Entertainment Law: I have assisted in drafting media and website content,

reviewing service provider agreements and contracts, and explaining legal documents to people. Labour and Employment Law: I have assisted with tribunal document preparation, mediation briefs, and litigation support for workplace disputes. Corporate and Commercial Law: I have assisted with the preparation of contracts, by-laws, rules, annual general meeting documents, minute books, and everyday communications.


Condominium Law: I have assisted with, managed, and led projects like the registration of

condominium documents, file reviews for contractual issues, legal research, and organizing

litigation proceedings for multiple condominiums from start (or issuing) to finish (or dismissal).


Personal Injury and Insurance Defence: I have led the gathering of medicals, expert reports, and the scheduling of independent medical examinations, I have organized documents for inclusion in briefs, document disclosure, and undertakings, I have prepared for mediation, motions, and trial. These areas benefit greatly from my detailed file management, legal drafting, and project coordination skills.


Project Management and Mentorship:

In addition to traditional law clerk duties, I provide project management services—organizing complex litigation files, coordinating deadlines, and managing communication with courts and opposing counsel. I also mentor junior staff and legal students, helping them understand litigation procedures and legal technology.

I am proficient with essential legal tools, including:

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro for drafting and filing court documents
